Alexandria, Virginia (June 4, 2015) — Mr. James Sisco, President of ENODO Global, delivered a presentation at the United Kingdom’s Defence Academy’s Culture in Conflict Symposium today.

Jim’s presentation “Operationalizing Culture: Using Identity as a Tool” explores the impact of culture, specifically identity, in contemporary conflicts. The presentation introduces the need to integrate a population-centric, identity-based approach into any conflict mitigation strategy in order to shape environments and optimize outcomes.

The conference brings together government, military, civilian, and private sector leaders from around the world to develop ideas and solutions to bridge cultural divides driving conflict.  This symposium explores two complementary themes: (1) the practitioner’s experience of culture and its effects on operations, and (2) the potential contribution of those who study culture and cultural heritage to bring further understanding.
